Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. To enable students to do experiments on the fundamental laws and principles of electricity magnetism, and gain experience of using a variety of measuring instruments.
  2. To enhance basic computational skills of the students by using C programming.
  3. To give students opportunity of learning by doing of fundamental constants and develop a correlation between theory and practical.

Nanoscience Practical

The student will be able to :

 

CO70: Demonstrate laboratory skills in laboratory and analyze the measurements to draw valid conclusions honestly.

CO72: Have a deep knowledge of fundamentals of nanoscience and technology.

List of Experiments:

  1. Preparation of stock sooultions and Buffer Solutiuon, Stock Solution such as Acetate Buffer pH 4.8, phosphate buffer pH 9.6, Phosphate Buffer Saline pH 7.2, Saline solution pH 7.0
  2. Introduction to Nanotechnology lab equipments- Calorimeter, pH meter, Weighing balance, Hot Air Oven, Water Bath, Autoclave, Centrifuge, water distillation unit etc.
  3. Preparation of Plant extract (Organic and aqueous), Crushing, Grinding, maceration, homogenization, Filtration, Centrifugation, Cold Percolation extraction, hot extraction usinbg Sohxlet apparatus
  4. Reduction of Ag+ by glucose (Tollen’s Test for reducing sugar)
  5. Reduction of Cu2+ by aldehydes (Fehling’s Test)
  6. Green Synthesis of nanoparicles using Neem leave
  7. Green Synthesis of nanoparciles using Ashoka Leaves
  8. Green Synthesis of nanoparciles using Turmeric Leaves
